Cabin Baggage and Size Allowed
 
Only one item per passenger is allowed through the airport search point with a maximum size of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (note: the re-sealable bag must be able to fit within the cabin bag). Additional items, for example hand bags, will be required to fit inside the one permitted item of carry on baggage.
 
Screened, but permitted are walking aids, wheelchairs and pushchairs.
 
Outsize Items
 
All items of luggage which do not fit in the permitted cabin baggage size (maximum length 56 cm, width of 45 cm and depth of 25 cm) must be checked in to be placed in the aircraft hold.

An exception to this is musical instruments, these are allowed on the craft as a second item of hand baggage. It is advisable to check with your airline before travelling if any special arrangements need to be made.
 
Liquids
 
Certain types of liquids are now allowed to be carried in hand luggage, through Aberdeen Airport's strict security check points, although still, certain restrictions apply:
 
All flight passengers can carry small quantities of liquids - liquid types stated below - in separate containers, no greater than 100ml in quantity of each.
 
All such liquids, in their separate containers must be placed in a clear, single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag, not exceeding 1 litre in capacity (approximately 20cms x 20cms). The liquid contents of the plastic bag must fit comfortably and the bag sealed. Only one such bag of liquids is allowed per passenger.
 
The see through bag must be presented for screening at the security check points.
 
 
Any liquids that are not allowed to be carried in hand luggage or do not fit inside the clear plastic bag have to be packed within passenger's main luggage.
 
The term liquids refers to:
 
  • All drinks, including syrups, soup and water
  • Oils, lotions, creams, perfumes, mascara etc
  • Any s prays or pressurized containers like shaving foam and spray deodorants
  • Tooth pastes
  • Gels, including hair and shower gel
  • Any other solutions and items of similar consistency
 
Laptops and Electrical Items
 
Laptops being carried, and larger electrical items need to be removed from hand luggage and screen separately.

For laptops being carried in a case will be classed as the passenger's one piece of hand luggage.
